Here's how.

Do I need a visa to enter Brazil?
Are vaccinations required for travel in Bangladesh?

Find out what's required for your trip. And find out the latest news and alerts for your destination. Consular Services produce publications on safe travel and in-depth travel reports for 223 destinations worldwide.

You will find details on:

health and security issues
use of credit cards and monetary concerns
requirements on personal documentation
contact numbers and addresses for Canadian embassies and other offices and more

Consular Services also produces daily e-mail Travel Updates, which can be subscribed to electronically, provides updates to Current Issues and Country Travel Reports.

Where should I stay in Bangkok?
Who should I hire as an interpreter in Bogota?

For practical tips and guidance on planning your business trip, the Canadian Trade Commissioner Service offers a visit information service. In fact, many offices abroad maintain lists of recommended hotels, some offering discounts to business travellers. If you need an interpreter, business support, or local transportation, the trade offices can also recommend qualified foreign service providers.

What's new on the Belgian market?

To discuss the latest developments in your target market, you can request a face- to-face briefing with an officer in one of the more than 130 trade offices abroad. Simply notify the officer at least two weeks prior to your departure.

And what if I'm in trouble abroad?

If you lose your passport, are struck by illness or find yourself in trouble, you can call the nearest Canadian embassy, high commission or consulate for assistance. You can also call Consular Services in Ottawa, collect at (613) 996-8885. This service is available 24 hours a day, seven days a week

Because you are Canadian...

Through Consular Services and the Trade Commissioner Service, the Department of Foreign Affairs and International Trade is committed to helping Canadians make their business trips safe and successful, whether it's to Buffalo or Buenos Aires. Bon voyage!
