		<description>Are there NO alternatives to gas?  The ancient world prior to dependence upon fossil fuels made journeys across the ocean and I would think that technology has advanced enough that we can continue using non-gas power while enjoying a more comfortable journey.  Everything doesn't have to be instant, and some people can actually deal with a long trip at sea.</description>
