2 month winter trip in the Persian Gulf - UAE, and (Bahrain/Qatar, or Oman)?
I am planning a 2 month trip to the Persian Gulf, arriving in Sharjah, UAE on Jan 20, and again leaving from Sharjah on March 10. As a Canadian, I can get a free 1 month visa on arrival, which is good until Feb 20, after that I wish to enter Oman, or Qatar/Bahrain for the remainder of my trip (Feb20-March10). My question is do I need to pay for another visa on arrival (in either Oman, Bahrain, or Qatar), if I already have a stamp from the UAE.? Apparently, there is a "visit visa" which states Canadians visiting Dubai can either enter Oman, or Qatar without another visa-on-arrival? Perhaps this applies to within the original one-month period, and not afterwards? What's the rule for Canadians?
Also, which country do you recommend I spend Feb20-March10? Oman, or Qatar/Bahrain? I know Oman is more of an "old" world expereience, but what natural beauty, authentic experiences does Qatar/Bahrain offer that Oman can't?
Thanks.
p.s.
I am flying in, and out of the region on Air Arabia, and on the way out I have to sleep one night at the airport in Sharjah, because my flight out is in the morning, and flights arrive in Sharjah around 21:00 every night (i.e. from Muscat, Doha, Manama). Has anyone spent the night at Sharjah airport before? I don't want to, but I can't help it since the flight schedules don't line up well, and I already used up my 1 month Visa on arrival in Dubai, so I can't leave the airport.
