2E Visa to France...I can help!

How Many Hours Does the 2E Visa Allow you to work a week?

Can anyone tell me how long it takes to get this visa? Someone I spoke to seemed to think it was basically a momentary affair, but I have trouble believing this.

I'm going to be applying for this Visa and I was wondering if you knew how long it took to get it processed. The average time it says on the French Consulate website is from a few weeks up to 3 months! They could be holding my passport for 3 months? That seems really long. How long did it take you to get yours?

My other question was about the proof of funds. If one of my parents signs the affidavit saying they will provide for me if I am unable to do so for myself, do I have to bring along their bank statements as well or is the affidavit sufficient?

I have the same question as FRIDAONFIRE as well.

Did any of you end up traveling to France on the 2E Visa? What did you put as your contact address?

I'm a Canadian who has been living abroad for the past 20 years. I had wanted to apply for the 2E but saw that applicants must be residing in Canada. I'm thinking that means Canadians residing abroad are not eligible for 2E and that it's not just a matter of me going to Canada to apply there as I have no residential address there.

Does anyone have information to the contrary? Is there any way for a Canadian residing abroad to apply for the 2E, whether it's in their country of residence or in Canada? Thanks!

do you know if you can travel with your french visa to other European countries?
or would it be possible to apply for a Belgium visa even if you would spent most of the time in other countries?

I hope you can clear this for me, with this working holiday visa ther is no need for the carte de sejour at all I have it written but whatever job I apply they asked about social security number do we need that ?
