The big thing is going to be proving income and telling them that you're NOT WORKING. That's always their main concern, if you're looking to work there. Also, that you have proof of ties to home - a mortgage, property, job etc.
Otherwise they may think you're planning on moving your family down there with 'other intentions'. The burden of proof is on you. Make sure you have a place arranged that you're going to, and give them a solid return date. Bring any paperwork proving your income and ties to Canada and you should be prepared for any questions. Better to have it and not need it, than need it and not have it!
