Hello Everyone,

I am new to the site and long for the days when I'll be able to post fun stuff like where we can meet for a pint. In the mean time, I am doing my homework and researching the best ways to relocate to England for a year. I am 31 (ugh) and have absolutely no England ancestry, so that narrows things. For the moment the only possibilities I see are the HSMW, though I don't know if a Marketing Management background would qualify. Which leaves me with finding sponsorship or marrying a brit (any takers?).

But seriously, does anyone know of any loopholes. I do have distant relatives and a place to stay to start me off. A local suggested that I should just go and then works things out from there but I am getting mixed messages from the Embassy. Any leads or tips would be greatly appreciate.
Thanks!

Hiya Wanderful- welcome to the site.

You said you don't have any English ancestry, but do you have a connection to any country in the European Union? I have a Dutch passport and it allows me to live and work in the EU. It's worth checking out.

Otherwise I have no suggestions for you. Maybe someone else does.
