Accommodation - where too look?

Post Tue Aug 29, 2006 3:58 pm

hey guys

im currently in the process of trying to get myself over to the uk to try the living lifestyle out. I dont have a job but im pretty sure id get one when im there so my biggest question is where im gonna stay. I want to at least try the uk out for 2-6 months so what are my best options? Apartments, Flats even Hotel? Whats the best thing to do? Any helpful advice would be great

I would be moving to West London. Middlesex to be percise. If anyone knows of any websites for cheap accommodations for flats or apartments that would be great!

Usually hostels are the cheapest alternative to bide you time to find either a shared flat/apartment or your own place - depends greatly on your budget & needs (furnished or unfurnished, shared toilets or en-suite, near public transport etc)

I don't live in Middlesex myself (thank god after seeing the prices for rent down South!) but you can get an idea as to rented accomodation prices etc off this site:

http://www.look4aproperty.co.uk/

You can also try this site which has more options for shared accomodation for rent:

http://www.fish4.co.uk/ls/triicstns/let ... aId=234947

If those don't have anything then try doing a Google search on google.co.uk and restricting results to pages from the UK. best of luck to you :)
