Address for spouse visa - help!

Okay, so it's time to apply for my husband's spouse visa for our relocation. However, Worldbridge says you must have a UK address to apply. I tried emailing them, but they just reiterated the same information as the website. From what I can find online, the address must be an exclusive residence.

I'm trying very hard to find an apartment, but it's too early and I keep hearing "wait until the end of August"

What do we do?

(I find this requirement strange...after all, they tell you not to make travel arrangements until you have received your visa, but you are supposed to buy a house or sign a lease on an apartment??)

Is there something I'm missing?

I am in the same situation. How do you find an address when you don't know if you will get a visa? Someone did mention you can even use a hotel address temporarily. I hope this is true. Can anyone confirm?

For spouse visa applications, it's recommended that you start looking for a flat/house/accomodation before you start the application process as accomodation is a major requirement. They want to know if the flat or house that you rent or own is suitable for your household and also if you can afford it without having recourse to public funds.
