Hello all,
Trying to get some info on professional level job search. I have not even yet applied for the highly skilled worker visa, but I have calculated the points and seems I can, so I will.
If I do get the visa, my first hope and ideal situation would be to arrange a placement with the multinational I work for. If that does not work out I would look for a position on my own. So here is where advice is needed.
Can anyone share their stories about finding professional level jobs. Personally I am in consumer goods (CPG) in business/category development function. But I would welcome any prof career stories (i.e. accounting, IT, consulting).
Did you go directly through the company's ad or through a recruiter (or even through LinkedIn, etc)? Did you arrive first and then search or have you had any interviews while you were still in Canada? Did you have any luck with phone and/or SKYPE interviews?
Any advice is appreciated!
Thanks!
