Advice on Working in England

Postby mkingswood » Sun Jul 27, 2008 12:52 pm

I'm planning to work in England soon. Where can I find advice and are there any good books out there that can help me get started?

There is a free forum where they discuss issues relating to living and working in England.

A book I can recommend is The Essential Guide to Success in England. It is also available as an eBook.

Fanny Law: You must be a teacher! My teachers also always told me to "go look it up" when I had a question. This was undoubtedly a very valid response in a schoolroom environment but seems a bit out of place on a social networking website, especially when you suddenly materialize out of nowhere tell about ten different people with questions on all sorts of topics the same thing. Perhaps a little prior lurking is not a bad thing. John

Go to Google and search Success-England. Any problems finding it, let me know.

I know this book - it's really excellent! Its not just for travellers but for anyone who wants to make a success of their life in the UK. Some of the advice given also applies to other countries and life in general. But I can't post the direct link as I'm a new member. It's basically just success-england dot com!
