Ancestry Visa: timing

Ancestry Visa: timing

A question for those of you who've gone through the process. After you apply online, how long before you got your biometrics appointment (specifically Toronto). We're in a situation where we need to have the appointment really shortly after the online application is sent. Thanks for any information.

Same problem! Even tried calling the expensive number, and all the woman there could tell me was that it didn't matter when you applied, you could pick whatever date for biometrics as long as there was availability. But I'm not sure I believe this, because when applying for a visa within the UK, the biometrics must be done within 15 days. If anyone knows about this, when you should put in online application when you have only a small window of time in which the biometrics can be done (ie do not live anywhere near a biometrics centre!), please PLEASE help!!

I am from Vancouver and I applied here - as soon as I applied I went to book my bio- apt. There were multiple openings every day when I went to apply and could get one the very next day. Hope that helps
