Another Canadian In Copenhagen!

Hi!

I've been in Copenhagen for a couple months and I was wondering if there are any one else around here who would like to join me in searching for some decent beer or something :) It would be nice to go out with some other canucks!

I'd also like to take advantage of all this easy European traveling while I'm here so if there there is anyone looking for a travel buddy, where ever you are, send me a message!

Cheers!
Christina

Hi Christina!

I am also a canadian in Copenhagen, have been here since May 2007 for my PhD and will be here at least till 2010. There's actually a AllCanuck group that you can find the website on the net, or you can also find them on facebook. There's monthly pub meetups so you get the chance to meet other canadians in DK. How long are you here for? From what part of Canada do you come from? I'm from NB.
Take care!

I arrived about a week ago and I am here till at least Dec or so, I'm waiting for my working visa to go through before I can start my job so right now Im finding it hard to meet people.

I'm from Toronto and have been travelling since Jan, I started out in oz and then to South Africa so meeting people have been easy up until arriving here. If you want to meet up and go for a beer that would be great, catch up on some Canadian news!

I'll be in Copenhagen untill the 24th of August working most likley at the SAS Radisson hotel. I too would enjoy periodic outings on the town with fellow Canadians. I know the town a bit already as I have a girlfriend here and have visited many times before. I have my mountain bkie with me so if any of you out there know of any good spots to go I would appreciate the info and a partner if possible!
Go Habs!

My partner is looking at a job in DK and I'm starting to research the country and get an idea on what I need to know before getting there. Where do I start? I like the AllCanuck group - any other suggestions? Thx

It depends on the status of your partner. Does He/She have a Visa, or EU citizenship? That's the first place to start. Hotels are good, the Radisson has a few here, Hilton has one at the airport, those are good because their international so language wont be a problem. If your partner has a Professional Distinction companies within that field can help as well.

Good luck!

Hi all,

I'll be visiting my fiance in DK this summer and will eventually move there when I finish my B.A. It's great to know there's other Canadians living in Denmark. Hopefully I'll meet you all one day:) I'll reside in Næstved.

I've just moved from the good ol' prairies to CPH and will be here for a good long time. If anyone wants to get together to check out the music scene, find a good pub or try some adventuring/travelling, let me know!
