Another stupid banking question.

Post Sat Sep 03, 2011 2:51 pm

Another quesetion I have, which is around the same thing as the last topic but not quite so I thought I'd start a new thread since I need some answers and hopefully this way it will get seen. I've been trying for weeks to get a hold of someone from my bank, (It's PC financial so they aren't a proper bank, nor do they have regular staff / hours, etc.) When I finally got a hold of someone in person, I was told they couldn't print out any bank statements, nor could they sign the ones I had. That I would have to go to another bank to do it (no other banks will because I'm not a cardholder with them.)

When I called customer service I was told they could send me a letter with my balance on it, but it would take almost two weeks and would cost me an additional fee. However, my appointment in Toronto is this coming wednesday. So I'm having a bit of a freakout. Will my bank statements alone, without a letter from the bank or a signature of any kind, be enough? Or will I have to completely reschedual my biometrics while waiting on a letter from my bank?

Any advice would be wonderful, I'm having such a rough time with this whole process lately. It's about done my head in. Thanks in advanced.

You should report your appointment in order to get your statements stamped or accompanied by a letter from your bank. Otherwise, your application may be refused especially if it's one of the points-based system (Tier 1,2,4 or 5).
