Ansectry Visa- Do I qualify?

Post Wed Mar 12, 2008 12:23 pm

Im sure 10,000 people have already asked this question. But my situation is a little more complex. So i dont know if I qualify at all. Im really Hoping I do cause it seems to be the easiest way to obtain a visa and work in the uk.

here it is:
My Grandfather was born in the uk. So I qualify right. The problem is. He is not my mothers father. He married my grandmother when my mom was 6 and adopted her. So he is kinda like my adoptive grandfather. Does that count. Im really hoping the answer is yes.

Hi - at first I was going to say not likely, but I looked at the UK Visas site which says:

Note: if you or your parent (who you are claiming ancestry through) are adopted, you can still apply for entry to the UK under this category. You must show evidence of the legal adoption with your application form.

(more information here: http://www.ukvisas.gov.uk/servlet/Front ... 8721067684)

So good news!
We've got rocks and trees, and trees and rocks, and rocks and trees and trees and rocks and.water!
