Any advice! Canadian girl in London

I am looking for a little bit of advice as what to do, my girlfriend arrived here a couple of weeks ago, she was originally going to come for just 3 weeks but has now decided that she would like to stay, find some work.
What is the protocol for her getting a work visa, I know for myself when I was in Australia and had a similar problem I had to come back to the UK to apply for my visa.

She will have to go back and will have to apply for fresh visa as the nature of the visa gets changed if she settles there as an professional.
