Hi,
I've been wanting to teach in Taiwan for a long time. However, my problem is that I'm chinese. As soon as employers find this out I get turned down. Does anyone else have had this problem and if so, how can I get passed it? I've been looking for a job for almost 6 months now. Recruiting agencies won't even want or help me! Crying or Very sad It's a good thing I didn't go there first and then find a job! I'm desperate! please help!

I'm out of touch with these friends, but people I knew who were asian were able to find ESL work in Japan via something like the JET program. Is there something similar for Taiwan that you could go through?

I see you posted this question long ago, so I hope things worked out for you minigo!
