Any Canadians in Christchurch?

wondering if there are any/many fellow canucks here in chch.
been living in nz for 6 years now and havnt met many expats here in nz, just people on holidays.. be good to have a few canucks around to talk hockey and eat poutine lol

I am moving to christchurch next week and was wondering if they showed hockey games in the pubs there haha. I'll be there for several months
and it would be good to get a canadian group outing going!

unfortunatly they only show the stanley cup finals on sky, and most pubs wont play it unless you ask.. and then half the time no sound and some of the locals will look at you strange lol.

although end of month can is playing the states in a exibition match here.. probally be the jr teams but best game of hockey to hit nz none the less i bet.

I searched every pub in CHCH trying to find the playoffs and gave up and went shopping. Well, whaddya know - right there on the big screen TV in the food court at Riccarton Mall (upstairs by the movie theatre)... yup, the playoffs. Go figure.
