Any Canadians in Morocco?

Post Thu May 25, 2006 3:07 am

So I'm going backpacking next week for a few weeks, and am thinking of crossing from Spain over to Morocco - Anyone out there?

It's somewhere I've always wanted to go, so I hope I have enough time to make it down there.

If there's anyone going to be there and wants to meet up, let me know! :)

Hi, sorry I'm not going to be in Morocco, but I was there a while ago and loved it! I've heard that if you start in Tangier (the most likely entry point from Spain) you might find it a bit overwhelming, but don't let it stop you. Once you get away from there, the people are really friendly, and it's fairly safe. The worst that will probably happen is you'll get overcharged for various things. When bargaining at stores, you might want to offer half what they propose as the price. Have fun!

Just wondering if you made it over to Morocco and how it was? I am new to this site and trying to get a variety of information, including what life is like in Morocco.

Thanks,

Dianna
