Any Canucks in Slovakia?

Hey,

I've been in Slovakia for almost a year now and I've ran into only 3 Canadians, (one who i work with) and 2 who were from Austria. So my question is, are there any Canadians living in Slovakia, preferably Bratislava?

thanx

Not Slovakia but close. I'm in Austria and have a similar situtation -- very few Canadians. I have met a couple who work at the Embassy but in "day to day" life, there just aren't very many of us.

Hey Linus,

Well, Austria isn't too far away--like 45 minutes by car or train. What r u up over there? What brought you there? etc. If you wanna talk or keep in touch, let me know freezesk@hotmail.com

How neat to have a canuck neighbour so close

I'm employed in an international institute and will probably be here for a couple more years. unless something better (in Canada) comes along.

Will try and drop you a pm this week.

Cheers!

Hey,

I studying for a semester in Denmark and just got a 15 day Eurail pass, which i hope to start putting to use this friday.

Around the 21st I'm looking to do 3 days in Slovakia and really want to see Vysoke Tatry, maybe do some hiking and whatnot. After that I was hoping to head north up to Karkow, as they seem to be really close. I was wondering if you know whether or not it's possible to go directly from Vysoke to Krakow (by bus or train), or if i'd need to go back through bratislava or something like that.

actually while i'm at it, do you have any advice for the quickest way to get from prague to vysoke, cause that's where I'll be coming from?

thanks a lot!

look forward to hearing from you
