any information would be great

I am looking to live in Canada .. as my soon to be husband lives here as well as his family .. I was told as my Grandmother (my dads mother) was born in Canada PEI to be exact . all i would need is a copy of her birth certificate, in which i have a copy of both of them .. I am trying to find all possible answers as to me being able to live in Canada .. I am a disabled veteran i wouldn't need any government assistance as far as my medical needs as i was told there is a VA i can go through up in Canada .. plz any help or advice would be great ..
