Any problems with Edmonton Customs?

Post Fri Sep 26, 2008 10:08 pm

I've been to the states many times before to see my boyfriend, but I've always entered through Vancouver and never had a problem. He's going to be graduating from Basic Training in Oklahoma City soon, which I plan to attend. However, this time I'm going through Edmonton customs. I have the letter that proves his class is graduating on the 3rd, sent from the camps commanding officer, and I have return tickets and all that. I'm only 20, and still living with parents.and I kind of forgot to get a letter proving I have a job. Will pay stubs be okay? :[ As well, I have a credit card bill.which should suffice.

I'm flying to Las Vegas first, to meet up with his mother and then we're flying together to Oklahoma. So.yeah.

I'm just wondering if they will give me a hard time at all.

I think looking at all the turning away stories has given me paranoia.

Some advice would be great, thank you.

If you can get a letter from your employer, that may help, but if not, don't sweat it. They may not give you a hassle at all, and you'll be carrying that stuff around for nothing. ;)

Congrats to your boyfriend on graduating. Which branch?

He will be graduating from Fort Sill on the 3rd. I'm really excited to go see him :( I already know what to say to customs.I think I'm just getting paranoid. But would a credit card bill be okay? I mean, I'm not going to run away from Canada owing $1,500 xD;; And I was just there in July and I came back.I heard if you don't have a lot of luggage that helps too. o_o
