I'm brand new here---been scouting the forum for an hour and have picked up all sorts of tips. Thanks, everyone!

Hubby and I are chasing a life-long dream and moving in July, from Newfoundland to Scotland. We hope to stay as long as we like it and can afford it.

We've got UK ancestry visas, we're planning to teach supply, and we have all the paperwork and applications in place to that end. Next on the to-do list is finding a flat or house to rent in our target Dundee/Angus area.

Any expat Canucks there?

I have lived in Dundee with my family for 10 years and am originally from PEI. I would be more than happy to give you some advice on relocating to Dundee from Canada. Are you coming for work???

Yes, I hope we'll be able to work as supply teachers, and we're hoping to find a flat in Broughty Ferry/Carnoustie area with a longer-term plan to buy a house, if we like and can afford it.

The hardest part is figuring out ahead of time whether we'll be able to afford living there.

Do you enjoy Dundee?
