Hi! I'm a canadian living in Darlington (county durham) and I am seriously missing friends and family at home. Is there anyone around the area that is Canadian as well?

Glad to hear from you. Where are you from in Canada and are you enjoying Yorkshire?

That is a loaded question - I grew up in Ontario. I have lived in Bradford ON, Hamilton ON and a few other places. Yorkshire isn't bad but I miss Canada a hell of a lot. I have 3 kids and a Canadian Hubby. I work for the NHS. So, how long have you been here and ewhats your circumstances?

Durham is a beautiful area - we went there last year on the way up to Scotland.

I'm a fellow Ontarian (?) as well. I grew up in windsor and went to school in london. I'm working as a physiotherapist in Barnard Castle. What do you do in the NHS? County Durham is gorgeous and the Lakes are close by, so that nice, but I miss Canada too. This will be my first summer here and I'm worried it's going to rain all summer. I'm here with my Canadian boyfriend, who is also a physiotherapist, so at least I get to hear another Canadian accent. How are your children adjusting? Hope you have wonderful weekend!!
