Anyone obtained a 3 year TN?

I think your passport has to be valid for another six months, that's the limit. Once the status has been issued, they don't really care that much, it's in your entry record, just make sure you keep your passport up-to-date and it's useful to hold on to the I-94, although USCIS can issue you a new one if you lose it.

Starting around Q4 2011, new Canadian passports will be valid for ten years.

I got my 3-yr TN visa back in May of this year. There was no hassle at all.

Just letting everyone know I successfully obtained a 3 year TN at the Peace Bridge yesterday under Scientific Technician. Unfortunately for me, the CBP officer was training two other "officers in training" therefore he scrutinized my letter for them. It was extremely nerve-wracking. One thing it did confirm is that if you have all of your paperwork in order and an employer letter that contains all of the pertinent info then there shouldn't be a problem.
