My husband and I visited Edinburgh a couple of years ago for a friend's wedding, and we both really enjoyed our stay and would love to go back sometime. I think this would be a perfect opportunity, so we're saving our pennies (litterally!).
My maternal grandfather's family was Scottish, so we even have Clan roots.
Its only for a weekend, but we're thinking we might start out our week in N. Ireland and visit some family there, and then head over to Edinburgh for the Gathering. Maybe. If we find enough pennies!
