Applying for New Canadian Passport in UK

Post Fri Dec 28, 2007 4:36 am

Hey Forum readers.

I am trying to get a new passport in London as my old one has expired. Love the 5 year limit on our passports. I of course don't know a lawyer, dentist, etc for guarantor so I am wondering if anyone knows where I find the forms for people in this situation living abroad. I have searched and searched the net and with the offices only open for a few hours each day. I am finding this impossible. Any advice appreciated.

Hi - here is the page with all the forms you need:
http://www.international.gc.ca/canada-e ... rts-en.asp

Under the forms page, you will need the form "Declaration in lieu of a guarantor" and you will then need to hire a solicitor to sign it for you (they shouldn't charge you more than 20 quid - if they do, call someone else!)

Hope that helps!
