Thank you. Actually, now that I calculate it better, it was 4 weeks--duh. But still, pretty good. Are you applying for Canadian citizenship?

Hey Krystina,

4 weeks is still great. I've psyched myself for the longer 6-8 week wait just in case.

no, I'm Canadian, but because my mother is British & my dad isn't (he's Hungarian), I had to apply for UK Citizenship first before applying for a UK passport.

You were born before '83? All that non-sense with paternal lines. Surely you'll have no problem! What happens at the ceremony? Where does it take place? I picture your parents video taping it, or something--like graduation. Exciting!

Yes, I was born before 1983! It's taking place at the UK Consulate here in Vancouver BC. They gave me two dates to chose from, one in November, one in December. They said it's informal. It's in a high rise building in the city, in an office-like area. I know this because I originally attempted to drop of my citizenship application there (before I knew everything went through Washington DC). Apparently it takes a few minutes as I have to recite an oath/pledge as a British Citizen as I receive my Registration Certificate. Will update after Thursday!
