Approved I-130 - Options while waiting for GC

Is there any status or waiver to allow someone with an approved I-130 petition awaiting a visa number to be able to work in the US?

Any experiences or info would be appreciated.

The I-130 was sponsored by my father who is a US citizen living in Canada. I also have a job offer from a US company but have heard that TN status, when you already have an approved I-130 can get tricky given the intent to immigrate perception.

Well, with an approved I-130 you obviously have intent to immigrate, so applying for some sort of non-immigrant visa now would be moot, and most likely denied. You're probably best off to just wait on the visa number, but perhaps an immigration lawyer could give you better information with a short consult.
