Hi there,

In my opinion the cheapest beer was in Spain, 1Euro/can on the beach. What could be better? another way to save money is to purchase a case of beer (if thats your preference) or a 40oz of whatever in any duty free shop. We stocked up on the ferry from Dover to Calais, but you can also do it from Brindisi to Corfu. If you like wine, you're set... We were drinking it with every meal since it was cheaper than coke alot of the time, especialy in the wine regions in France and Italy again it'll be about 2 Euro/bottle..
Hope i was of some help...
Cheers

... or so I'm told.

I think a pint goes for about 4Euro if you're in the middle of the city.

I'm in North-Western Germany near Dortmond, and in my experience all booze is cheaper than in Canada. The beer is really cheap by the bottle and you can buy it everywhere. I got a 775ml bottle of rum for about 9€ which, at the current exchange, works out to about $14 Cdn, much better than the $20-24 I pay at home in NS. Even UK wasn't too bad, where I got a 775ml of Captian Morgan (first taste of Canada I had in a while) for about 4 pounds I think. Very cheap.

People seem to want to drink everywhere here, on the bus, on the subway, on the trains, in the streets. There is just no stopping them.
