Bachelors or Masters in the US?

Post Mon Dec 15, 2008 2:50 pm

I currently have an Hon.BA in Economics from U of T, however I am finding it very difficult to obtain a job title of "Economist" in Florida. I am thinking of going back to school to get a Masters of Science in Accountancy. My question is, will the Masters qualify me as an Accountant status under the TN guidelines or will I have to complete a Bachelors?

There's more to it than that, depends on what the job offer letter says. But yes, that makes you sound more like an accountant. A lot of these things aren't exactly chiselled in stone, for example if you have 20 years experience as an accountant it's hard to argue that you aren't.
