banking in Spain

Hi Everybody

I will be moving to Spain for 8 months
and I was wondering which is the best
way to access my cash. Should I bring
a bank card and use ATMs or buy
travellers cheques and then deposit
them in a bank account in Spain?

If you use ATM machines over there
which bank are you with here? How are
the fees?
