Hello --

I'm a Canadian living in London, and I've recently joined a baseball team who are in need of a few more players. As it stands now, we have a nice little mix of people -- including Americans, Spaniards and a high Japanese contingency -- but we could really use about 5-6 more bodies.

There are four levels of play for baseball teams in London, and the Sidewinders are in the level second from the top. If that sounds daunting, it's not. It just means you should be reasonably handy with a glove and a bat. (In other words, this is a mild step up from your garden variety beer softball league.)

The team practices every weekend in Enfield Town and plays games every Sunday. Due to other committments, most players only play a certain percentage of the schedule, so don't worry if you can only make some of the games. If you decide to join, you'll be asked to pay a cost of around £110, which covers insurance, equipment, your uniform, and league fees. You're more than welcome to come to a few practices and games before committing to the team. For more information, please contact one of the team managers, Toshio, at sidewinders18@hotmail.co.uk.

Thanks! Go Jays.

(Also, feel free to message me privately for a link to the team website. As a new user, I can't submit URLs to this forum.)
