Best way to forward Us Postal mail to address in Canada

Hi everyone, this is my first post. Hello!

I am moving back to Canada for a couple of years and need to have my mail (US Postal Service snail mail) forwarded from my US address to my Canadian address. Has anyone had any experience with this and do you know of any good services/companies that do it? The change of address form from the USPS only can forward to another US address which doesn't help me too much. I've considered getting a PO box just over the border in Niagara Falls, NY since I will be living in Hamilton which is close and I can go check it once every couple weeks but there must be a better way.

When I was looking to move back, one of the possibilities I looked into was using a UPS mailbox # and have USPS forward your mail to your new UPS PO box #.

You can set up service so they will forward your mail to you on a periodic basis. Their PO boxes cost more than USPS ones, but given the cost of time, fuel and hassle to drive to NY every few weeks, you may find it worthwhile. I would check with your local UPS Store for details, or take a read online.

USPS can't forward mail to Canada? That's just daft! When I moved to the US, Canada Post was able to forward my mail down here no problem!

Back when I did it there was an international mail forwarding service, it's a different bit of paper you have to fill in. I never got any mail forwarded though.

When I worked abroad, I used a service called Shipito. Their rates were very low and service very reliable. You could have letters forwarded with NO monthly fees for just $1 plus postage. They also other services at very reasonable rates as well. I hope this helps.
