Born in Canada - want to go back!

Post Wed Aug 04, 2010 2:14 pm

Hi,

I was born in Canada, to British parents. I have lived in the UK since I was 2, and have both a UK and Canadian passport. I am looking to live in Canada with my wife and daugther (who are both British) - how would I go about that holding a Canadian passport.

You can move back, but you need to sponsor your wife/child for immigration to canada.

See a Cdn immigration website

Nice thing about being cdn is that you can act as you wish. There is no one "true" Cdn way of life, least of all how lobenstien describes it.

You may start the sponsorship application for both your wife and daughter before you return to Canada. A key point in your case, however, is to prove your intention to live in Canada permanently.

If you wish to discuss your matter in detail, you may call us at Niren & Associates toll free number 1-866-929-0991.

Just have patience with the Canadian passport system...it can be very tedious, even when you have all the right paperwork they seem to always need more. All the best wishes for a smooth application.
