Borrowing US resident's motorcycle to ride in Canada

I am a Canadian citizen living in Canada. My son, a US citizen, is living in the US has a motorcycle which I wish to borrow and ride around the US (no problem there as long as I make sure I am insured) and I also want to ride it around parts of Canada. Will I being able to ride it across the border into Canada???? My son will give me a notarized letter giving me permission to ride his motorcycle and also I will be an authorized rider under his US motorcycle insurance policy which covers riding in the US and Canada.
Can somebody help.
