Ok most know me as the banned lady, well me and the fiance decided for him to come here and marry me, and spoke about him moving here, seeing it will be a while before taking my banned issued to court in the US, I know you all get this and for some reason I can't see any questions like this, but here I go. Fiance came to Canada marry me, cause I am no longer allowed in the US, we decided for him to come to Canada to be with me and live with me, I know what we were suppose to do for me to be in the US, but I been all over the sites and googled what i could, but still trying to find out how do I get my husband here with me now, we know its gonna take a while, and I know some people would have said keep him here instead of going back home, but all were needing is, should we get a antourney/legal representive to help to make the process easier on us, basically let them do all the work so that we can keep our minds on us and our life, or is it faster to get all the papers ourselves and do it on our own, then theres what if he miss reads the info and puts whatever and sends it in and they don't accept it cause not saying all males are like this, but read it fast and put what ever lol then cost us more money. Any help would be greatly helpful, if you know of a good lawyer or attourney that might help would be greatly helpful, or any sites i can visit to maybe help me do this on my own, all Help is very much appreciasted thanks in advance!

My daughter recently brought her fiance to Canada. They hired an immigration lawyer to help them through the process.I believe the cost was about 2 to 3 thousand.not sure on that though.A lawyer should keeep your paperwork on track since that seems to be a concern. I would suggest that it is read extreamely carefully and filled out with extreame accurracy.as you know any dishonestness or precieved dishonestness will cause a lot of grief. Short story is be prepared for him not to be able to work in Canada for about 6 months.

Unless he's got some sort of criminal record or problem with immigration why would you need a lawyer? They can't speed up the process, and in the majority of cases, all they're going to do is have you write up the paperwork by hand, then they'll type it and send it in. Why waste the extra time and money?

Check out the forums at http://roadtocanada.com for info on marriage based immigration to Canada, lots of helpful people there. And the forms and everything are free to download at the CIC website http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/immigrate/sponsor/spouse.asp
