Bringing former US car back to the States

I bought a Nissan Murano when I lived in the US back in 2006 on H1B. Came back to Canada in 2008 and am going back again in Feb on a new H1B. Do I need to get the compliance letter for that car even though it was originally sold in the US? I don't entirely remember the process... but do I also need a letter stating that all recalls have been completed?
