British Citizenship Help!

Post Sat Jul 03, 2010 9:50 am

I'm looking to get a dual Canadian-British citizenship, but I'm not really sure where to start. I'm currently a Canadian citizen (was born here) but my mother was born in England and is still a citizen of the UK with landed immigrant status here in Canada. Being born in 1990, I'm ineligible for UKM, but I was wondering if there was any other way to go about obtaining a British citizenship.

Thanks,

Alan

you were born in 1990 to an English mother? I was born in 1984 to an English mother and found that I was automatically British because of this and you may find that is the case too if not than you should still qualify.
Are you in Canada? If so contact the British High Commission if not
http://www.ukba.homeoffice.gov.uk/britishcitizenship/ these guys should be able to help.
long live the Canadian republic

There are specific dates which come into play, so look up the brit cit websites. There were changes in the 80's a nd 90's .
This site is a travel site and not best source for these topics:
