Budget! For a Western Europe trip.

Post Mon Apr 02, 2007 1:49 pm

Hey there,

a friend and i will be traveling abroad for about 40days in september/october. We will be spending 4-days in Cardiff Wales, 4-days in Edinburgh. and the rest of our days will be spent in Paris. I've been told that Paris is an incredibly expensive city to stay in.

We have an apartment to hopefully save some money by preparing our own foods. We were aiming to bring roughly $100cad per day, but that excludes accomadtion ( that money is to be kept seperate.)

We both like to drink and have a great time but people i have talked to people who told me things like a pint of beer can be around 5-6 euro? is that right?

I just wanna be prepared for so i wont have to worry about $$$ when im traveling!

thanks for any input!

You can always enjoy a cruise without spending a fortune. Cruise trips are mostly all-inclusive. The food, activities and amusement, accommodation, and transport are already paid for. However, there’s always those incidental charges such as extra drinks or additional services. Cruise lines really know how to get you to spend those extra dollars. You can save cash just by saying no to extras. If you are not as strong-willed as this, make a budget for miscellaneous expenditures. Keep a record of your expenses and always spend in accordance with your resources.
