Buying a car

I have followed your advice and applied for American citizenship before I move back to Canada where I have citizenship. I am assuming the process will take a number of months. I have a new car for which I am making monthly payments. Do I need to pay the loan off in full and have the title before I bring it into Canada?

Yes. That's for importing. If you are going to return to the states you don't need to do anything.

I am doing the same thing - I move back to Canada on the 24th and I am driving my car which is MASSIVELY upside down and I can't pay off. So I am just telling them I do not plan to import it. I can't get the title for it, but need my car. It's a lame system.
