Buying air tickets here for someone in Canada

Does anyone here know the answer to this please?

Can I buy a return air ticket in the UK (from a UK supplier) for someone who is in Canada and wants to visit me here in the UK? Or do I have to buy the ticket from a supplier in Canada?

Also, any recommendations for best fares in either option?

I've got a feeling the answer is no, but can't be sure. I think there's probably some other factors to take into consideration.

I would think you can. My sister bought me a ticket originating in the UK from an American company.

(Maybe I am misunderstanding the question.)

My Mom has definitely bought me a ticket in Canada -> LHR - YYZ - LHR.

I think it costs more, but you can do it.

But can you do it from the UK for someone in Canada?

I guess it wouldn't matter. But for some reason, I'm still thinking I've heard a story from someone where they couldn't for whatever reason. Could have been a unique situation though.

Heya there! Yeah, I'm sure you can buy it from the UK! If you go thru Zoom, or Canadian Affairs on the internet! http://www.flyzoom.com, or http://www.canadianaffairs.com! Check them out! And they're decent prices aswell! Hope this helps..
