Calling all Canadians in Manchester!

Ok - I've lived in Manchester (actually South Manchester...Didsbury) for the past couple years, but have suddenly been struck by an awful spell of homesickness! I work really long hours and find it hard to meet new people, but I guess after 2 years I'm getting sick of the small talk!

Since us Canucks seem to be far less reserved on the whole, I thought I'd try and connect with my roots and see if anyone would fancy meeting up for a pint (or a Starbucks!!!) and just a general chat about life over here in the rainy city. I've never done one of these forums or anything before, so I'm not sure how it works, but just drop me a line or something if you're in my neck of the woods!

PS - I'm 27 and on a 5 year work permit...not sure if that's important but thought I'd throw it in there anyways!

I work crazy hours as well but, I would be more than willing to meet up for a drink or whatever. I am 24, male, and currently living in Stockport. I know we had one of these threads before trying to unite fellow Canadians in Manchester but, nothing came about. So, let me know what date and time works best.

Hey Jeff,

I'm heading to Denmark for the weekend, but what about next weekend...say Sunday afternoon? What about the Didsbury pub on Wilmslow Road? That way you could take the bus up from Stockport and I could walk over in 20 min. or so (if it's raining let's be honest...I'll take a cab!).

I think weekends are a good option because I always end up cancelling evening stuff due to long hours...argh!!!!
