Calling Working Holidaymakers!

Post Tue Jun 21, 2005 1:32 pm

Does anyone know if I have to submit my canadian birth certificate when applying for the working holidaymaker visa? It says to submit your "original canadian immmigration document, for example a Canadian Permanent Resident Card", but does this apply to canadian-born citizens?

I've tried calling the commission in Ottawa but It's impossible to get any contact at all for such a small question...

Anyone out there with the answer to this? Much appreciated!

I only sent in my passport. At least I do not remember sending in anything else.

I've just looked at the requirements, and no, you do not have to send in your birth certificate if you were born in Canada.

Thanks for the reply! I had a feeling it wasn't necessary but it's so hard to get any information from real people at the commission.
