Hope everyone is haveing a good long weekend. I am in need of some quick help. I have just finished answering all my questions for my online application for my right of abode. I got to the place where it asked me if I want to apply in person or apply in person with return postage paid. I am so confused? I thought I could mail my application in. Is this not correct? Did I do something wrong? I am desperate for any help as I need to try and finish this up today. Any help you can give would be appreciated. Thanks.

You have to apply in person - I believe any application for the UK needs biometrics (fingerprint scan and eye scan)

So you need to pick a VAC location - Ottawa, Toronto, Edmonton, . and 2 I think are in BC

Go in with your application, and get your biometrics done, then they can send in your package for you, or you can on your own to the British High Commission office.

Thank you for the info. I was told that the right of abode didn't need Biometrics but I guess I still have to apply in person. I appreciate you responding. Have a good day

That is correct; for Right of Abode you don't need biometrics. You can mail it directly to the High Commission; you cannot visit there in person; we were in Ottawa just last week for our biometrics and despite the Commission being just around the corner, you can't simply drop it off (thankfully there was a Purolator there, and a same day delivery was only $7).

Maybe what the application is referring to is if it's approved, you have the choice of having it mailed to you or picking it up in person.

Thank you, the application was so confusing because it said apply in person as the only choice but after you get past the payment part it tells you you must mail it in as you don't need biometrics. I was worried I had to go down to Toronto. I am going to mail it off next week. Thanks for your help.
