Can anyone offer any suggestions?!

Post Sun Jul 17, 2011 11:02 pm

Hello

I am a Canadian citizen and my bf is American. We are going to get married. I was going down for a visit and decided to take a bus as it was hundreds cheaper and I was excited b/c I would also get to see a lot of Canada that I have never seen before as well as the USA. (This is my fist time to the USA). Anyway I get to Toronto/Buffalo boarder crossing and I get denied b/c of lack of ties to come back to Canada. I was in shock but like I said, having never gone across, I was unaware of this and in fact told the guy that it makes total sense and how embarrassed I was and that had I know this I would have had my proof. So I get denied, finger printed etc and he gave me a paper showing the things I could bring next time as acceptable proof of ties to Canada. Now, I am too scared to even attempt to cross I am so scared that if something isn't right I will be banned forever and never get to be with him! My question is, when he comes here to see me, if we got married in Canada and went over to the USA after, am I going to have any issues? Obviously once we get there we would apply for whatever we need to make it legal there for me to stay! Nothing is set in stone yet, like I said I just want information as to what is going to make things easier and legal etc. If anyone can help that would be great! Thanks!

visajourney.com has all the FREE info you need! Chck out the K1 (fiance visa) and the CR-1 (married Visa)

+ and - of each: http://www.visajourney.com/content/compare

Others have been in the same posit as you, and they have returned to the POE with the proper evidence and gained entry to the USA. But it pretty much boils down to 1 thing--the Port of Entry(POE) officer!! Just NEVER lie!! Check out VJ and good luck
