I think so - but if you bring it back to canada you'll have to pay GST on it, and maybe a few other legal things.

I once drove my USA car back to canada through Vancovuer Peace-arch port. And I was checked. However since I am only use the car temporary and go back to US soon, the official let me go. It seems that the maximum stay of your US car is 6 month.

depends what the purpose of your purchase is. Are you Canadian living in Canada, or living in the US?

As mentioned above, if you're living in Canada and intend to import the car to Canada, you'll have to pay duties, and get import clearance information from the US manufacturer. If you plan to sell it in Canada, you'll also have to have the dash instruments changed to metric, and probably have to install daytime running lights.

If you're living (legally) in the US tho, then yeah, you can buy a car if you have the money or the credit. Why not?
