My husband, who is French, and I (Canadian) have been living in Montpellier France now for 3 years. The time has finally come to make some big decisions,do we stay or do we go?
We went through the government website and things seem pretty straight forward. Just a few loose ends that need more explanation.
Does the process take longer if we apply from outside of Canada?
Can I begin the sponsorship while still living in France?
What are some examples of "evidence" that we will reside in Canada at the time my husband gets his residency?
Ooh and if life couldn't get any more complicated, I'm in the process of trying to renew my carte de sejour. Does anyone know what happens if you submit your application only one month as oppose to two months before the expiry date of my previous cardI?
