Help me ASAP! I was going to drive to US and to fill up to the roof my car with my stuff, leave it in US. (I've sold furniture and don't have that much to ship it), and fly back to Toronto to take ...

I guess probably to eliminate even a possibility of being denied. That's all I can think of except it might be that they just didn't know about this simplified procedure for Canadians which is strange but could be true. And the other thing that I believe I've never mentioned is my employer is U.S. based company if that makes any difference. Well, anyway, thanks for your help in clarifying all this to me! I don't think there's a way right now to change anything, but it's good lesson to learn. I'm planning to fly out there next week for a few days to make some preparations for us. Do you think I should be careful on what I'll be telling the officer at the border answering the question 'What is the purpose of your trip?' Does it matter that I have a case under review? Or they don't really care as long as I have return ticket.
What is also bothering me is that I can't find a clear explanation on how do I move my car across the border. I mean is there anything (i.e. documents, procedures.) I need to do in advance or prepare before crossing the border. My car is presumably complaint with all U.S. safety and polution standards as it is Buick made in Canada and I figured out that it's duty free, but is there any additional paperwork to be brought to P.O.E. when I'll be driving across the border?

Call the manufacturer in Canada and get a letter of compliance, you'll need that to show them at the border when you import the car.

Your other questions, I'm sorry I really don't know.

Another thing that I have no clue on how would I legalize my status afterward in case I'd enter States prior factual petition approval. I'm not sure also on how could I be able to apply for it myself at POE as I'm transferred within the company from Canadian branch to U.S. one and this is in my opinion a key point here.

If your employer has already supplied the paperwork to the consulate, you merely need to get a copy of it to support your application. It's not a terribly big deal. You make the application at the POE.

Your real problem frankly is the fee as you have all the paperwork necessary for the application, if your employer has shelled out $820 for the visa application I doubt they'll get that back and you'll have to shell it out at the border. Is it going to cost $820 to stay in a hotel for a couple of days and wait for the visa?

If you enter the US as B-2 then obviously you'll all have to leave and re-enter to change status using your visa.

Doesn't make it clear that it's duty-free but it is, because it's part of your personal effects.
