Hi,
I am a Canadian citizen and now in US as a visitor status without any visa. If I find a sponsor, can I get H1B visa in US without returning to Canada?

Yes. The sponsor files I-129, and asks to chnage your staus from visitor (b2) to H1. Probabaly best to file Premium 2-week processing, otherwise it could take a couple of months.
