Can I receive Social Security Benefits in US if I’ve been already collecting CPP from Canada?
Prior to moving to US (to reunite with my children) I’ve been receiving partial CPP payments ( I applied when I was 62.5 years old). Now I am leaving in US and planning to apply for Social Security. I am US citizen and have been working in US for the last seven years.

Presuming you've worked 3 years in canada, you are now eligible for SS. When the time comes, even if you have not worked 40 quarters, you will get SS.

The fact that you are already collecting CPP doesn't matter.
